Hotel Sanders is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Copenhagen, just a few steps from Kongens Nytorv, the Royal Danish Theatre, and Nyhavn. The hotel is built around the story of Copenhagen and its cultural life, with its origins in the former Hotel Opera as a place where guests, artists, dancers, and locals would gather after performances at the Royal Danish Theatre. Today, it continues that spirit as a meeting point between different cultures, combining a high-end yet understated atmosphere.
The hotel is designed to feel like stepping into a theatre, where the scenography and interior set the stage for the guest experience, and where personal service and atmosphere play a central role. Hotel Sanders features 54 rooms and suites, the Sanders Rooftop terrace, Sanders Kitchen and TATA bar.
Sustainability is part of the hotel’s everyday operations through its initiative The Green Act, and Hotel Sanders has been Green Key certified since 2024. The work focuses on integrating more responsible choices into daily practice, including reducing food waste, phasing out single-use plastics, improving energy and water use, and working more closely with suppliers, waste sorting, and internal routines.
The ambition is to keep developing the hotel in a way that stays true to its identity while gradually embedding more responsible operational practices into everyday life.
