Økolariet is located in the center of Vejle and everyone is welcome to drop by. There are free tickets to the exhibitions.
Økolariet is a knowledge and experience center located in the middle of Vejle city. Ökolariet offers exhibitions, teaching, activities, nature guidance and events for everyone. The themes in the exhibitions are about sustainability, climate, the globe and the nature around us.
Økolariet is run by Vejle Municipality in a permanent partnership with the local waste water and waste company.
Since 2009, the Økolariet has been approved as a Knowledge Pedagogical Activity Centre.
It has been very obvious to the Økolariet that environmental efforts are also included in the operation of the center, which is why the Økolariet received Green Attraction in 2024.
East Jutland offers you a wonderful combination of fertile landscape, expansive forests, sandy shorelines and bustling big cities.
The green and hilly landscape of the region was formed by the glaciers of the last glaciation. Valleys, gorges and deep fjords were all carved by the flow of glacial melt water.
You’ll find that East Jutland is easily accessible and full of varied, outdoor experiences. It's also home to Denmark's dynamic second city, Aarhus, Mols Bjerge National Park, Samsø and Vejle.
But you also find Søhøjlandet with Silkeborg and Skanderborg's lakes and forests as well as Legoland in Billund.
